A Coastal concoction of Grenache, Mourvedre & Carignan
Vibrant raspberry, cherry and cranberry on the nose with warm earthy layers and peppery spice. Elegant soft tannins with a fresh acidity, balanced by juicy red fruit and hints of cherry Bakewell on the palate. An exceedingly fine Rhone blend from winemaker JD Rossouw.
Strange Kompanjie Unlimited is a casual band of happy ferments. A circus tent of the Cape's stranger grapes and blends. They champion the unfashionable, experiment with the known and express the found before it gets lost. Strange Kompanjie is a cultivar club for the underdog.
All the components come from dryland vines with deep root systems.
Each varietal and origin brings something unique to the blend: The Grenache and Carignan dominate giving freshness, bright red fruits and juiciness; whilst Paarl Mourvèdre brings the whole blend together rounding it off and providing structure and complexity.
Enjoy with roast beef or lamb, as well as grilled meats and BBQs
