The nose is attractive with brooding cherry fruit, floral notes and an underlying stoney minerality. The palate is taught with delicious red berry fruits, precise minerality and crisp freshness. It's a very long and clean wine with extremely fine, chalky tannins.

Established in 2002, Tabali is a pioneer and iconic winery situated in Limari, on the edge of the Atacama Desert in one of the northernmost vineyard regions of Chile. They were one of the first wineries to settle in Limari and their wines faithfully reflect their place of origin in which climate and soils play a fundamental role, bringing out the potential of each of their vineyards. The full Tabali range is truly distinctive with elegance, restraint and minerality, helping them to achieve a cabinet full of the wine world's most prestigious trophies. In 2014, Felipe Müller was named 'Chilean Young Winemaker of the Year' and acclaimed for his ability to understand Tabali's distinctive terroir and use it to create remarkable wines, unique to Chile.

PAI Pinot Noir comes from the Talinay vineyard and was produced with grapes from two massal selections from Vosne-Romanée and Gevrey-Chambertin. They were planted ungrafted and with a very high density of 12,500 plants per hectare on a steep slope inside the Talinay vineyard. It's a unique 1.15 hectares of vines that were planted in 2012 and the first commerical wine was produced in 2018. The site has some of the highest concentration of calcium carbonate in the Talinay vineyard.

The wine is fermented with 40% whole bunch, using native yeasts and then matured in used French oak barrels for 12 months.

This is the first vintage and has already been hailed as one of the best Pinot's from Chile.
