Ripe and juicy, perfect house pour!
Bramble fruits mixed with hints of dark chocolate and spice come together to make this well balanced smooth Merlot.
When Eric Monnin (wine maker) first visited the long-established family fruit grower he was hugely struck by the beautiful, 200 year old hill-top hacienda whose wooden columns and ancient palm trees have magically survived all the biggest earthquakes in recorded history. This Hacienda gives its name to this wine
Premium fruit is sourced from local growers, with the ultimate aim of making excellent quality Chilean house wines with true style and character. Vines are between 40 and 60 years old and part of a 45ha estate where peaches and apples are also grown. The vines are unirrigated and the vineyard is cool with a unique rocky mountain soil and glacial streams.
Great food wine, serve with a juicy steak, savoury lamb casseroles, herby sausages or a char-grilled vegetable lasagne.
