Well balanced and ready to drink!
This is a fresh wine that has been aged in tanks, retaining its bright red fruits and lively acidity. It is still young although it will develop quickly to give a soft fruit-driven wine. Château Roc de Ségur is located in the Entre-deux-Mers appellation of Bordeaux. The wine is a blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Intense ruby red in colour with a bouquet of wild strawberries and red currants.
Chateau Roc de Ségur's 47 hectare vineyard, planted in 1992, is owned by Giséle and Daniel Vidal with their son Florian taking an active role in the winemaking process. Situated on a vast limestone plateau overlooking the breath-taking Segur Valley in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers. The site was originally a quarry and the winery and cellar are carved into the rock itself. Ségure translates from old French as "well-defended"
