Food Recommendations

The wine has a lovely rich colour showing concentration and longevity. Deep flavours of berries on the nose reflect the aromatic quality of the wine. On the palate the structure is soft and pliable, very easy for this style of Bordeaux superior. The secondary flavours are all fruit based, blackcurrant and blackberries are at the forefront of this well balanced wine.

Chevalier Noel is a small property, around 60 hectares, producing only red wines in Sauveterre de Guyenne, on the right bank just south of St-Emilion.

This wine is made from 80% merlot and 20% cabernet sauvignon form 25 year old vines. The vineyard's terroir is mostly composed of clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand harvested.

Perfect with steak and beef dishes & cheese.
