Food Recommendations

The wine exudes aromas of cherry, red berry, and balsamic, influenced by the oak aging. On the palate, it offers ripe fruit flavours, bright acidity, and rounded tannins, creating a balanced and enjoyable tasting experience.

The Primitivo vines are cultivated in the Manduria region, known for its shallow red soils enriched with iron oxides. This distinctive soil composition contributes to the unique character of the grapes.

The Primitivo vines thrive in the shallow red soils of Manduria, characterized by high levels of iron oxides. The grapes are harvested at the start of September to capture their optimal ripeness and vibrant flavours.

After harvesting, the grapes undergo fermentation followed by a maturation period of approximately six months in French barriques. This oak aging process enhances the wine's complexity and adds depth to its flavour profile.

Enjoy with home-made pasta served with rich tomato sauce, or grilled meats
