Satisfying, well-priced white from Campo de Borja
Stone fruit and limey citrus aromas with tropical characters. Lightly creamy mouthfeel from the well integrated oak and a bright, clean finish.
Bodegas Borsao was establised in 2001 and is a collection of three of the most progressive co-operative cellars in the Campo de Borja zone southeast of Rioja. Grapes come from 620 member growers covering 2,500 hectares, nearly a third of the region's total. Vineyards lie in the undulating foothills of the Moncayo mountain, up to 700m above sea level.
Selected grapes from vines grown on stony, sandy soils, at an altitude of 500 metres. Hand harvested mid-end September.
Temperature controlled fermentation of between 14-18ºC in stainless steel, then matured in French oak Bordelaise barrels for three months.
Perfect with creamy chicken and tarragon or grilled fish.
