A fresh dry Chenin with broad appeal.
A fresh, dry Chenin with broad appeal displaying classic baked apple and zippy citrus aromas with soft, delicate apple fruit on the palate well balanced by crisp acidity. Extended lees contact gives this great value wine some real weight and character.
Sourced from bush vine Chenin from Paardeberg area and trellised vines from Paarl as well as old bush vine from Drakenstein area. No irrigation is used on the vineyards and very little crop control is needed due to the age of the vines naturally restricting yield. All grapes are harvested by hand.
Produced from only free run juice, part of the blend is natural fermented and a tiny percentage old barrel fermented. The wine is left on fine lees for an extended period for greater palate weight and mouthfeel.
A great partner to grilled fish, chicken and salads.
