A special white burgundy full of flavour and finesse.
Lovely toasty notes, with aromas of hazelnuts, herbs, butter and spices. The palate has more lovely toasty complexity, fantastic brioche, hazelnuts and cooking apples.
This winery, owned by the Vallet family, represents everything that we are proud to be associated with; attention to detail, careful selection of the best grapes and above all a passion for making superb wines. Three generations of the family are involved - Louis Vallet (who is Pierre Bouree's nephew), his sons Bernard and Jean-Christophe and grandson Louis Henry. All Pierre Bouree wines are vinified in their cuverie in Chambolle Musigny and then matured in their cellars at Gevrey Chambertin.
Vines grow on limestone / clay soils at a very low density (vines are pruned to 7 buds per cane). Grapes are hand selected and hand picked.
Hand picked grapes and no destemming; immediate pneumatic press and fermentation in oak barrels with "batonnage" every day; bottling after 15 months.
