In-house Tastings

We built a room just so you can come and enjoy tasting wines, and lots of people do.

We do tastings for specific groups of people, or keep an eye out on our events page for details of special wine guests. In the past we have welcomed representatives from Pol Roger / Joseph Drouhin Wines, Mike Kelly owner of Isabel Vineyard, New Zealand and Conrado from Ontanon Rioja.  Recently, Paul Boutinot of Waterkloof Wines, South Africa gave a fantastic tasting and talked about Biodynamic Winemaking and his quest for the perfect winemaking locations.

And don’t forget our ‘BIG ONE!’, usually held the last weekend of November. For many this marks the start of the Christmas season, we even have to hold it over 2 days so everyone gets a chance to attend.

This is an open house tasting and a great chance to taste a number of our hand picked wines… last year we had over 80 wines open (although it’s not recommended that you try to taste them all), special guest wine makers from Lallier Champagne, Ed Adams and Richard Mayson plus a number of top industry importers to run you through and explain the wines.

This year Charlie from Chase Distillery and John Cherry from Sir Robin of Locksley Artisan Gin added ‘spirit’ to the occasion.
