Exciting new wines, exciting new treats!

Here at Hattersley HQ we source wines to assess whether we think they are good enough to put on the shelf for you to drink! It's a tough gig right!! We set the bar high though and often wines however much we like the branding or the producer just don't cut the mustard! But when they do we tend to get a bit excited!

We have been on the look out for new, fresh whites from regions such as Germany and Austria that get us enthused and our taste buds going! And last week we found it....last weeks find is this weeks treat! Being an independent business we can react swiftly to make decsions to get you the best wines ASAP! To go alongside our favourite new find we have a very much tried and tested wonderful red that ticks the box everytime!

We want to thank you for all your support, so these wines are at a silly low price. We aren't trying to move stock, we haven't inflated any prices to give a discount, we genuinely aren't making any money on these wines... hence why we are only letting you take TWO BOTTLES MAXIMUM.

Franz & Friends Gruner Veltliner

A classic, fresh and approachable expression of Grüner Veltliner from its homeland in Austria.

The perfect weekly treat, a grape variety you may not of come across before but one not to be missed and one that were super excited by - clean, fresh and appealing with an aromatic nose with notes of white spice. The palate has stone fruit, green apple and lightly exotic characters....more.

After trying last week Sarah swiftly took the remaining wine home to have with dinner and came up with a winning combination 'Grüner Tuna' (photo above), a concept soon to be copyrighted I'm sure! This has inspired our food match for the week, we suggest Spring Risotto with Seared Tuna from crunchysaltysweet.com the freshness and subtly of the food matching that of the wine perfectly!
